Subject: National Team Distance Challenge

In order to promote distance swimming during winter training, the National Team challenges American swimmers to a distance challenge.

The challenge is to swim a 1650 for time between December 18 & January 8th and submit the time to be ranked against all others taking the challenge across the nation. A swimmer may submit one time from a competition or from a practice time trial during the challenge period.

The results of the top 100 performances will be compiled and distributed for the following events:

Women’s 14 and under 1650
Men’s 14 and under 1650
Women’s 15-18 1650
Men’s 15-18 1650
Women’s 19-21 1650
Men’s 19-21 1650
Women’s 22 and over 1650
Men’s 22 and over 1650

For consideration, all swims must be completed and the results submitted by January 8, 2010. A swimmer’s age on the day of their swim determines eligibility.

Results may only be submitted using the attached Excel form. Please use one form to enter your whole team. Please submit your results, using the attached Excel spreadsheet, to distancechallenge@usaswimming.org.

Take the Challenge!
